Keep your custom design fresh & clean
All denim is painted with an acrylic/fabric medium blend and heat treated. This means the paint is set and will not wash away. However, proper care will prevent fading, cracking and other damage.
Recommended: Hand wash with cool water. Note that while the paint is set, dyes in the denim may bleed and discolor the paint. Hand-washing is ideal, at least for the first few washes.
Don’t have time to hand wash? Machine washing is ok after the first few washes but may cause creasing and is not ideal for preserving the artwork.
Recommended: Hang dry flat. Be careful not to fold painted surfaces while drying.
Machine drying is ok, but not recommended for preservation of the artwork.
Recommended: Hang or store away from high heat with artwork flat. If left for long periods of time, acrylic paint may stick to surfaces like plastic or paper, especially in high temperatures. Do not fold the painted area.
Personally, I hang my custom denim in my closet. To be extra careful, you can cover the painted area with parchment paper.
